今社会,客来敬茶更成为人们日常社交和家庭生活中普遍的往来礼仪。俗话说:酒满茶半。奉茶时应注意:茶不要太满,以八分满为宜。水温不宜太烫,以免客人不小心被烫伤。有两位以上的访客时,用茶盘端出的茶色要均匀,并要左手捧着茶盘底部,右手扶着茶盘的边缘,如有茶点心,应放在客人的右前方,茶杯应摆在点心右边。上茶时应以右手端茶,从客人的右方奉上,并面带微笑,眼睛注视对方。

传说我国古代有一人名叫若琛瓯,乃景德镇人,以制茶具而闻名,他制的景德镇茶具美观、耐用。可是一个恶毒的巫师知道后,念了一道毒咒,毁坏了茶具。要解开这道咒语,需有一名年轻人投入烧茶具的炉火。于是,琛瓯很勇敢地投入熊熊烈火中,咒语解开了,茶具恢复原样。人们为了纪念他,便将第一次茶水称为“琛瓯洗尘”。

如今,“琛瓯洗尘”是“十八道功夫茶”中的一道,后人用得更多的是“洗尘”二字,以表达对客人的尊敬。
